As of January 1, 2014, Archdiocese of Ottawa is offering to all clergy, as well as to lay employees who are members of the diocesan group insurance plan and their families, access to new Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).
The EFAP is a confidential support service available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year that can help you find solutions to all kinds of challenges at any age and stage of life, including such issues as:
- Health and well-being
- Managing relationships and family
- Finding child and elder care resources
- Getting legal advice
- Getting financial guidance
- Dealing with workplace challenges
- Tackling addictions
- Improving nutrition and overall health
Employees and their immediate family members (as defined in our employee benefits plan) can receive support over the telephone, in person, online and through a variety of self-guided resources. You will get immediate, relevant support in a way that is most suited to your preference, learning approach and lifestyle. Highly qualified, experienced and caring professionals help you select a support option that works best for you.
The EFAP is completely confidential within the limits of the law. No one, including your employer, will ever know that you have used the service unless you choose to tell them.
